CHRONICLES OF ROMUS
During the demise of Simba sounds , there was a need to refine and re organise the members of simba sounds and also fill the vacuum that was ever growing with vibes provided to the people. As a former member , Ramson256 came up with an idea of a sound that was not only meant to benefit the memebers but also the community at large. Learning from the past mistake of simba sounds. Ramson set out to create a sound that an aim of identifying, establishing and promoting talent. Ramson, Kush, Big don ( picture below)

Drafted what will be turned as the chronicles of Romus. These were all sleeps needed to get the sound were it was supposed to be.
In 2015 the sound was formed and Ramson wad signed as the first official artist , dj and creative Director. As that was happening . The scene in huntsville was changing and soon Romus Sounds was contracted by safari sports bar to be the official residence sound/ deejays. Djramson256 was appointed as the first and official dj for safari sports club for the next five years.
In 2017, Huntsville Reggae Contracted Romus Sounds to sparehead & spread Reggae, soca in huntsville to get it leveled to birmingham city which already had a soca scene. Because Ramson was the only Dj, we taught and signed Jeremy to Romus sounds under the alias of Dj no face after graduationg from Romus Academy, we gave him the safari saturday nights and dj ramson went on to spread reggae to other clubs like ebony, celebrities, classic wheels etc.
2018 - 2019. GVNV tours were kicked off in birmingham city, ohio, california,boston , washington this was djramsonwith our main aim of spreading the Good vibes or No vibes motto and promo to the states.
2019- 2021 - Litty tour, this was a southern tour that was aimed at taking all the Romus sounds djs on tour & let them know how it feels like djramson, djnoface,mcqueen. making djnoface/jnrdagreat the romus student,artist, paid promotor etc.
2020- 2021 - Around the sametime, we rehearsed, jnrdagreat most anticipated E.P Amka Simba meaning wakeup Lion. This E.P was to encompass reggae dancehall and the growing influence of Afrobeats. After the release of the E.p we went on the sunsplash tour. Jnrdagreat the artist and djramson256 as their Dj were jnrdagreat put on a unforgetable show. By the time the Litty tour was done. it was obvious that Afrobeat was the next thing.
We signed Medussa 305 around 2021 and we worked on the first single called "djlove". The concept was to mix hiphop with afrobeat. Medussa 305 was already on Mc so we just put the resources together and production. However the track was never released. Around the sametime during Covid. A question arouse one that was supposed to be past Covid . However a question arouse, how can a sound survive on its own without contracts. Thats when we registered Romus Sounds into an llc and by 2020 the company was a full legal entity. Our first product for revenue was our merchandise hence GVNV store.
In 2023 we came back to the drawing table after jnrdagreat had signed a major deal that saw him nake a move from HSV to seattle. This time round djramson256 met with samsei, c1ive and medussa to pen down an E.P that will incorparate Afrobeats and Hiphop. This was called TRIED BY 12. it was recorded for 8 months and towards 2023- early 2024 we did a luanch at orion ampitheatre and the camp.
2024 we needed to expand our horizons and reach our fans and those artists chasing their dreams. so early 2024 we set up Romus Entertainment in Uganda. a department meant to deal with content creation, mini series and movies etc . Also its other purpose is to support african artists especially in East africa.
After Romus Ent Ug we set our eyes on Romus fine arts academy in 2025. we start with an online course with atleast 6 students as of 2025- 2026. Our goal and main aim is to have a physical classroom to help reach each dj effectively.
2026 marks our 10th year anniversary . we would like to thank everyone individually and remind you to get familiar with out content.
